Why do my Island Freezers always ice up?

There are possible causes. 1) The defrost timer might be faulty or incorrectly set. 2) The drain might be blocked resulting in water accumulating withing the cabinet, turning into ice when the system returns to the cooling cycle. The ice eventualy builds up and blocks the coil over each defrost cycle, reaching the fans and eventually blocking the coil. 3) The evaporator fans, may have burnt out, resulting in insufficent air-flow across the evaporator. 4) The cabinet might be over-filled blocking the air circulation (air-flow)...

Why do my island freezers leak at the bottom when washing them?
